A branded 40 camera bullet time booth at Metro Centre Comic Con: 600 videos in a weekend, and over 20 million social media views.

What Did We Do?

A fully branded bullet time booth at Comic Con in Gateshead’s Metro Centre, run over a weekend: a 40 camera rig on a 6 by 6 metre stand with two 2.5 metre side panels and a custom backdrop wall, which we printed from the client’s artwork and installed overnight while the centre was closed. Stands can go from about 4 by 2 metres up to whatever the space allows, including a full expo stand build.

Our software, in development since 2013, did the heavy lifting. We choose the trigger point and the system creates everything from there: the finished video, the branding, and the social media delivery, with visitors adding their email on tablets. It runs offline if the venue’s internet disappears, queueing everything to send the moment the connection returns.

The weekend produced over 600 videos, and the cosplay clips took off: more than 20 million social media views in a single weekend.
