Balloon Shooting

Balloons shot with a rifle, frozen by a 48 camera rig accurate enough to catch the bullet in flight.

What Did We Do?

Photographer Richard Bradbury asked us to set up a rig to recreate a shot he had first taken much earlier in his career: balloons bursting as they are shot with a rifle.

We used a compact 48 camera rig to freeze the balloons at the moment of impact. The synchronisation was accurate enough that many of the shots caught the bullet itself in the air.
