About 100 bullet time GIF shots in one day, in a working pub, with the rig moved and relit five times before the doors opened at 5pm.
Elvis Communications asked for help with a Budweiser social campaign: bullet time GIFs for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, promoting the brand’s sponsorship as the official beer of the Emirates FA Cup.
The Elvis team had already had a proper go themselves with 4 cameras, and in fairness they did a good job. They asked us to recreate the effect with 12 cameras, and to produce about 100 shots in a single day.
The filming was in a live pub. We had from first opening until 5pm, when the doors opened for food service. In that window we unloaded everything, moved the bar furniture, set the lighting, moved and relit the rig five times, took all the shots, de-rigged and were gone before the first customers arrived.
